Young Filipinos between the ages 15 and 30 exceed 35% of its population, making moral and innovative youth leadership a significant contribution to the future of peace in Eastern Asia: Global Peace Volunteers, Global Peace Youth Summit, Moral and Innovative Training Camp.

This is one of many reasons why the 2017 Global Peace Convention in the Philippines is the place to be this February 28th through March 3rd for aspiring young leaders.

Since the Millennium Summit in September of 2000, where world leaders had originally resolved to achieve development outcomes by 2015, a massive regroup effort is now moving forward to include the youth as major actors in the post-2015 development agenda. The UN adopted a new deadline with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Youth Track at the 2017 Global Peace Convention will provide a platform to empower youth as moral and innovative leaders, creating new models for peace and development. The youth-led models and best practices shared here will become a catalyst to inspire even more young people to take leadership and ownership over the 2030 goals, helping to raise a generation best equipped to establish peace in their communities, nations, and the world.
