Ambassador S. Azmat Hassan (Ret.), M.A., M.Sc., is a Former Ambassador of Pakistan and currently a Senior Faculty Associate of the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University, specializing in Middle Eastern studies. His distinguished 33-year career includes various postings within the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister’s Office, focusing on tensions in Afghanistan. Hassan also served as a Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN and Ambassador of Pakistan to Malaysia, Syria, and Morocco.
