From 2008-2012 he served as ambassador of Mongolia to the United Kingdom and  non-resident ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, Ireland and Iceland. He has held various government positions such as advisor on Foreign Policy as well as Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, as well as non-resident Ambassador to Bulgaria, Romania, Lebanon and Uzbekistan from 1997-2003. He served as Director General for legal and counselor affairs in the Foreign Ministry from 2003-2008 and director of the Law and Treaty Department from 2007-2008.
