Dr. Raquel Figueiredo Alessandri Teixeira is the Goiás Secretary of State for Education, Culture and Sport. She earned her PhD in Linguistics from the University of California and her post- doctorate in Language and Culture from the School of High Studies in Paris. She is a teaching and research professor at the Federal University of Goiás. She formerly served as a Federal Congresswoman. In recent years, she has been the executive director of the Jaime Câmara Foundation and the director-president of the Jaime Câmara Institute, where she is working to support and encourage health and education.
