9 people including Korea Securities Depository employees and clients will participate in the overseas volunteer program administered by Global Peace Foundation Korea.

They will be volunteering in the town of Tamale.  Tamale is a remote town in the Philippines that does not have access to electricity and mainly relies on kerosene lamps.

Korea Securities Depository Volunteer Corps will not only supply solar-powered lanterns and streetlights but also set up a community facility to increase community income and a chicken yard.

President Kyung Dong Kim said, “This is a great opportunity that we can get involved in volunteer services and build a close relationship with our customers.”
