The Global Peace Foundation saw many significant advances in 2013. The One Family Under God campaign launched in Nigeria, and is leveraging the moral authority of religious leaders and traditional rulers to mitigate conflict and rebuild trust between Christians and Muslim. GPF's Character and Creativity Initiative (CCI) had major progress in Kenya and launched CCI in Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Uganda, Paraguay, Brazil and Indonesia. GPF's All Lights Village is pioneering a comprehensive approach to development in rural communities that begins with solar lamps as a beginning of long term development. In December 2013 more than 1,200 government, civil society, and faith leaders from 40 nations gathered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Global Peace Convention addressing the issue of building social cohesion based on a shared vision, principles and values. The 2014 Convention will be in Asunción, Paraguay.
