Global Peace Women (GPW) Nepal, an affiliate of Global Peace Foundation (GPF), donated two sewing machines to a center for women with disabilities. The women were taught how to make reusable masks and sanitary pads using the new machines and how to utilize their skills to provide a means of income generation.

Nirmaya, who is part of the center, said, “Thank you so much for donating sewing machines and for teaching us how to make masks and sanitary pads. We are looking forward to learning how to sew so that we can be sustainable.”

Global Peace Foundation works closely with our affiliate Global Peace Women which leads initiatives that uplift women’s dignity and value, empower families, and advance service-minded women leadership to foster peace in the home and society.
