The Global Peace Leadership Conference is a three-day strategic, multi-sector convening of the Global Peace Foundation and our partners that addresses pressing regional challenges and works toward collaborative solutions within a framework of shared values and moral and innovative leadership.
The GPLC provides a space for leaders and innovators from the government, the private sector, faith communities, and women and youth to develop effective and collaborative responses to the challenges of conflict and underdevelopment.
The final day of the Conference will feature the Global Peace Festival 2022 on Clark Grounds, Papamga, Philippines on December 3. The Festival will be available live virtually.
GPF education initiatives engage educators and stakeholders to integrate ethics and twenty-first-century workforce skills into public secondary schools. Students experientially learn digital technology, explore entrepreneurial enterprises, build teamwork and real-world problem-solving skills, and develop core values of leadership and integrity.
The women empowerment track will examine the critical leadership role that women play in both sustainable peacebuilding and strengthening families in their communities around the world.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The CSR track will examine the critical, yet often unrecognized role of private sector business and economic development in poverty reduction, sustainable development, and regional stability.
Interfaith and Peacebuilding
Through its Religious Freedom Initiatives, the Global Peace Foundation has championed and executed a range of multilateral initiatives that provide education, awareness, and advocacy in addressing international religious freedom violations and domestic religious liberty infringements.
Peace and Security
The conference track on peace and security will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss the root causes of conflicts in their regions, and their role in building strong and inclusive democratic institutions.
Role of the Media in Peacebuilding, Conflict Management, and Prevention
Information is power and insight can impact public discourse. In this way, perceptions can be changed depending on access to media. Different types of media are utilized globally to distribute knowledge and idealistically, free mass media is a tool of and signpost for democracy. Freedom of expression is not only the core of a healthy media but also a fundamental human right and vital for a democratic structure.
