Hon. Choong Whan Kim served as member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea from 2004 to 2012 and as Chair. of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee during his last term.  He is currently a professor of politics. He has worked as Chair. of Institute for Peaceful Northeast Asia and Unified Korea and been actively serving as Co-Chair for the Action for Korea United, the biggest civil society network for Korean reunification in Korea. He formerly serve as Mayor of Gangdong County, Seoul for 3 consecutive terms from 1995 to 2003 and work as President of 25 Seoul Mayors’ Council. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Politics from Seoul Nat’l University and received his Ph.D. in Urban Administration from University of Seoul.
