International Advisory Council for Korean Unification and Northeast Asia Peace and Development

The Global Peace Foundation advocates international support for nuclear-free and Korean-led peaceful unification to uphold freedom, democratic values, rule of law and human rights for all, as an urgent, not a distant goal, based on a shared identity and cultural heritage. The Unified Korea should exemplify its ancient Hongik Ingan ideal – Living for the Greater Benefit of All Humanity, and contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous Northeast Asia and the world.

The International Advisory Council seeks to promote consensus around vision, principles and values which can guide Korean reunification and other peace issues in Northeast Asia. To that end the council promotes scholarly exchange on Korean reunification related public policies and analysis, including conducting joint forums, conferences and research contributing to road map solutions and collaboration on initiatives with private foundations, UN agencies and civil society institutions, advancing young leadership in service and development.
