Dr. Asmat M. Khalid is the Minister of Education for Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq. Dr. Khalid was one of the founders of the University of Duhok and served as its first President. Dr. Khalid is currently working to reform and improve the education system in the region of Kurdistan and plans are underway to raise literacy levels with more schools and teaching programs. He received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of London.
