is President of the Republic of Paraguay. A politician and businessman, Hon. Cartes started a currency exchange business at age 19 which grew into the Banco Amambay. Over the following years, he bought or helped establish 25 companies, which place a special emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility. He previously served as president of Club Libertad football club and had been the president of the national team department of the Paraguayan Football Association during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
