Leonida Bayani-Ortiz is a born socio-civic leader and a prominent civic leader, humanitarian and women’s rights advocate. She was awarded the Ulirang Ina Award; Gintong Ina Award, cited in Who’s Who in Nation Building; was awarded as Most Outstanding Civic Leader for the Lions Governor Excellence Award in the Asia Pacific. She is a governor of the Philippine National Red Cross; Governor, Lions Clubs of the International District 301-A1, 1995-1996; and president of the All Nations Women’s Group (ANWG), 2003-2004. She is treasurer of the International Social Service Philippines (ISS Philippines), 2005-2006; director of the Quezon City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 2005-2006 and secretary of the  National Council of Women of the Philippines (NCWP), 2005-2007.
