Hundreds of people in Indonesia’s greater Jakarta community have contributed to establishing a healthy, educational and fun environment for the whole family in a large low-cost apartment complex housing thousands of residents.

Launched in 2014, Life Park Project was initiated by Global Peace Foundation to strengthen families and create a model of collaboration between citizens and government to establish healthy communties. Residents consistently participate in drawing classes for children, English study courses for young students, taekwondo for teens and aerobics for mothers. Despite the variety of religious and cultural backgrounds of the residents of Rusunawa Flamboyan, people have been able to come together in the spirit of volunteerism and service to strengthen the community as one family.
